No wonder it costs so much...look at all the equipment needed. Good thing I emptied my bedroom...

Day Five
New plumbing for the Kitchen sink.
Since we have full access underneath the kitchen, in the garage I thought it would be so simple to swap the stove and sink to the opposite sides. What a maze of pipes for water, vents, gaslines plus wiring.
New Kitchen lighting
Gas lines for the stove, and new wiring.
New shower faucet in place, and the new showerhead copper pipe behind ye old showerhead.

Time to Remodel the Cube..Before
A few pics before demo of the kitchen and bathroom...I had already moved out a lot of junk and furniture.
I have been thinking about this for years, then got serious many months ago. With my neighbor Kristian planning an extended trip to Africa it was the perfect opportunity to rip out my kitchen and bath while I could use hers. Somehow time got away from me and suddenly I was in a rush to get it started.
There are so many details...what tile for the bathroom floor, for the shower walls, for the shower floor? What faucet? Should it match the sink faucet? Kitchen appliances, cabinet configuration, floor materials, where will the lights go, what will the countertop be, are you painting, what color? No wonder people pay someone to do all of the design work. I decided I could handle it and got suggestions from friends, contractors, magazines, showrooms, home depot, etc.
Now the project is underway. The tired and faded pink and blue bathroom tile is history. Soon I will have a dishwasher, new cabinets, and more than a single 60 watt bulb for the entire kitchen!
